The Christmas season is a time for joy, celebration, and giving. Unfortunately, for some families going through hard times, it’s a season of stress, difficulty and sadness.
The Dream Project was created by a group of entrepreneurs working together to make the Christmas dreams of many less fortunate families a reality through The Richmond Christmas Fund. We’re calling on you to help make a joyful Christmas a reality for those having a tough time.
Help make a joyful Christmas a reality for those having a tough time
The Richmond Christmas Fund mobilizes your spirit of giving to give grocery vouchers to low-income Richmond residents and toys to the children so that every family has the opportunity to enjoy a joyful holiday celebration.
Donors who contribute $500 or more receive an large souvenir cheque and a photo taken with representatives of The Richmond Christmas Fund recognizing their generous contribution to the community. Together with your efforts and widely-followed community organizations, we will do our part to share your inspiring generosity with our networks. You can also use the opportunity to inspire your associates, friends and customers as well.
Of course, all donations of any amount are welcome and will definitely help others.
We know that the satisfaction you receive in return will be greater than the generosity you show others through your gift.
How Funds are Used
100% of donations are put towards the Christmas Fund. Donations are primarily used to purchase grocery vouchers. They also allow us to buy new books for our Toy Room. Every donation helps a family in need, but also contributes to the Christmas Fund being more effective and efficient.
A significant percentage of admin costs for the Christmas Fund come from grants provided by government and other sources.
Your donations make it possible for the Christmas Fund to exist. Through the Richmond Christmas Fund, 2,000 people receive grocery vouchers every year. Nearly 600 children receive toys. And above all, everyone who registers is treated fairly, and has a great experience being part of something bigger than themselves.
